Gina Tomes. MSW

Since 1993, Gina Tomes has been dedicated to pioneering services and support in maternal care, family stability, and poverty-intervention programming. For more than three decades, she has empowered women, children, and families by creating, launching, and leading innovative housing and support programs for pregnant women experiencing homelessness, crisis, and complex barriers. As a seasoned organizational leader, Gina provides strategic and administrative oversight for daily operations, staff development, and long-term program growth. She is also a trusted national speaker, frequently invited to present on maternity housing topics, program effectiveness, and life-transforming outcomes that address generational poverty, homelessness, addiction, and the breakdown of the family.

Gina’s deepest passion is walking alongside families facing complex barriers and those who are under-supported. This calling led her to co-found Bethlehem House in Omaha, Nebraska—now recognized as a flagship maternity home with two decades of proven outcomes. Her leadership has shaped comprehensive programming that includes healthy family structures, addiction recovery and support, parenting education, sexual integrity, health and wellness, career readiness, and professional case management.

Driven by the belief that every family deserves long-term pathways to stability, wellness, and hope, Gina launched Guiding Grace Family Support Network—a groundbreaking support network designed to continue support services long after pregnancy and as each family’s life journey continues. Through Guiding Grace, she is advancing a new model of support services that dismantles the deepest barriers affecting families: homelessness, poverty, addiction, isolation, and generational trauma. The program offers ongoing case management, classes, support groups, fellowship, and wraparound care—with no time limits and no cost—ensuring that every participant receives personalized pathways toward stability and transformation
